How to Pick Your Confetti Colour (Without Overthinking It)

How to Pick Your Confetti Colour (Without Overthinking It)

You've picked the venue, the flowers, the linens, and a napkin fold you didn't know you had opinions about. Now you need a confetti colour. Don't worry, this is the easy one.

Start with your palette, not the confetti

Look at your flowers and your outfits first. Confetti works best when it repeats a colour that's already in the frame, so it looks like part of the plan and not a last-minute addition.

The quick guide

  • Classic and timeless: White. It goes with everything, it looks like falling petals, and it will never date your photos.
  • Soft and romantic: Pink, Peach, or a blend like Pink + White or Peachy Keen. Lovely with blush florals and golden-hour light.
  • Bright and playful: Rainbow, Funfetti, or Starburst. Made for colourful weddings, birthdays, and anyone who wants the photos to feel like a party.
  • Bold single colours: Yellow, Green, Blue, or Purple. Great for matching a bridesmaid dress or a team colour. Pair it with white if you want it a little softer.

Think about the backdrop

White confetti can disappear against a white dress or a pale sky. If your exit is outdoors in daylight, a soft colour or a blend with white tends to show up better in photos. Darker backdrops, like an evening exit or a brick wall, make almost any colour pop.

Then pick a shape

Circles come in the widest range of colours. Hearts come in white, our soft pink and peach shades, and Starburst. Butterflies come in white and look especially pretty in slow motion.

Still stuck?

Go with a blend. A mix of your accent colour and white is almost impossible to get wrong.
